Topshop Pant Review
One morning last week, I received a text message at the crack of dawn from my friend declaring that Topshop was having a massive sale on their denim selection. It didn't take much convincing before we decided that we had to head downtown for an afternoon of indulgence!
I've been addicted to Topshop's high waist Moto pants since early this year, more specifically to their Jamie high waist ankle skimmers.
I'm a really petite person, and finding pants that fit me properly is hard. I'm always folding my pants at the cuff, or getting them hemmed to fit. I've also been feeling uncomfortable lately in the "ultra low rise" style pants that have been popular in the past few years, especially because it does nothing for my height.
However, thanks to the Jamie style pants, I've been able to find a pair that works for me! Topshop has a petite section that fits me like a charm, and since they've come to Toronto, it's the only place I've been to for pants. The petite section allows me to wear the pants as they are meant to be worn, instead of dragging my hem.
They're also great because they're form fitting, but are stretchy enough to allow for movement and plenty of dancing (I do believe I did an Irish jig in a pair the other night.) But, I'm not the only one who has fallen in love (after buying two pairs in a dark navy and light jean colour), a couple of my friends have as well. We're completely different sizes and heights, but we've all managed to find a pair that suits each of us perfectly.
My tallest friend was so excited to slip into a pair of the Jamie pants in a length that's not always found in stores, and find them to fit even her long legs! I've heard it's a tall girls dream to have pants that don't ride up above your ankles. She ended up grabbing the Jamie pants in a burgundy colour to add a little 'pop' to her wardrobe.
My other friend, who has a long torso, loves the ultra high waist that the pants have (which is uncommon in most North American clothing stores) and the price point she got them at, which is a bit less expensive than the American Apparel jeans that she often purchases. She got hers in black to go along with her fabulous new mauve ankle boots.
So I thought I'd take a minute to share with you how much I've been enjoying these pants and let you know that if you're looking for a pair of high waist pants that are at a decent price point, comfortable, and perfect for any season, I may suggest heading over to the denim section at Topshop!
